Merry Christmas!

The last 2 weeks have flown by! Here are some of the highlights from our stay here in CA: Games, food, tree decorating, disc golf, bowling, basketball, talking to Elder Taylor in Bulgaria on Skype, playing the Wii, wiffle ball, walks, naps, exchanging homemade presents, introducing Emily to family who hasn't met her yet and more food!

SNOW??!!!

Crazy as it is, it snowed here last night! Just goes to prove that Jeff and snow share a special connection. I bet he could go to Hawaii and the snow would follow him there too. None of the snow stuck last night, but we enjoyed watching it fall. Now we're really in the Christmas mood!

A Shout Out To My Einstein

I came over to the computer and saw this on the screen. This is a problem from Jeff's take home final. I don't know about you, but just reading this stuff makes me feel kinda' queasy and carsick. Go ahead, read it- it's not for the faint of heart. Facing this on a final would scare the socks off me!

But my husband, on the other hand, eats this stuff up. He's amazing. He's smart. And I sleep easy at night knowing that the man by my side could calculate scattered electrons, solid angles, uncollided scalar flux, and all sorts of stuff. Ain't no stray electron radiation garbage gettin' me without gettin' past Mr Einstein first! .... but in all seriousness, I want to say how grateful I am to Jeff for being so diligent and brave and for getting a great education. Thanks for all your hard work in school. I love you, honey!
